Welcome to Kenny's Music Blog & Board. The "Blog" portion of this forum is for me to spout out my thoughts and views on music. Am I some kind of expert? Not really, I am an amateur musician and producer who has worked with rock bands and musicians since the early 1980s, but primarily I'm just a music lover with a bent for "classic rock" of the late 1960s and early 1970s. So why did I do this? Because I love music and I wanted a forum to share my thoughts with you, and to promote what I consider to be "good" music.
The "Board" portion of this forum is a message board where you can share your thoughts with me and everyone else who visits this board. Tell us what music you like and why you like it. Why is it "good" to you? The board is open to anyone, as long as they follow "THE RULES".
"THE RULES"
-----------
1. BE RESPECTFUL. This is a place for friendly discussion of what turns you on about music. Remember that old saying your mother taught you: "If you don't have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all." This doesn't mean you can't disagree with someone's opinion, but this is NOT a place for hateful criticism of anyone or their choice of music - mine nor yours. I will not tolerate disrespectful bashing of ANYONE's views on music. If you do not like a song or artist, you may certainly say why you don't like them, if you can do it without making it a personal attack on the artist, song, or especially another board member. Any disrespectful behavior or personal attack toward another board member will get you permanently banned from this forum, at my discretion. As a suggestion, instead of ranting about something you don't like, why don't you educate us about what you do like?
2. DISCUSS MUSIC. Please keep the discussion on something related to music. Please keep POLITICAL and RELIGIOUS views out of your discussions, except where they pertain to music.
3. HAVE FUN. Perhaps this is the most important rule of all. If you're not having fun here, please just leave and go somewhere else.
At this time, I am choosing to leave "language" filters turned off. Music is art, and therefore should not be censored. This board is about music, and I feel it should also not be censored - except in cases where RULE #1 is violated. I am not offended by "foul language" nor "dirty words", unless those words are directed at a comment or the person making the comment. But please do remember that this forum is not age-restricted and may be viewed by minors, so please keep that in mind when making a post.
Listen to music, talk about music, make music
